Neither the Internet nor my travel guide could prepare me for the festival of a lifetime.
I've traveled for one year, but I'm thirsty for more. There's so much to see and do. There are more countries and cultures I want to learn about, so much more food I want to try, so many experiences I want to have. The only solution is to keep going.
I never thought I would be alone in a foreign city surrounded by nurses who didn’t speak English examining my fractured tailbone in a hospital that I had no idea where it was in the city, completely alone without any phone service to tell anyone where I was.
The trip made me realize the goodness of mankind. I traveled to a country where many people had never seen a person of color. They didn't taunt or point, they were entranced. It was fantastic and being moreno shouldn't hinder you from doing anything or going anywhere.
Mom, we’ve been to over 20 states together. Each trip leaves us with even more memories. I love traveling together and hope it’s something we always do and enjoy. I’m excited to add more destinations to our list of adventures. So thank you to the amazing woman who showed me just how cool traveling is.
